Defense Nuclear Facility Board Community meet-and-greet on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at the Santa Fe Public Library - Southside Library Community Room - 6599 Jaguar Dr,  Santa Fe, NM 87507.

This informal gathering is an opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, and learn more about the DNFSB’s role in protecting public health and safety through independent oversight of the Department of Energy’s defense nuclear facilities. Their mission is grounded in ensuring that these facilities operate safely and securely, not only for the workers who serve within them, but also for the surrounding communities and the environment. Our work includes providing technical analysis, issuing recommendations, and working with stakeholders to ensure that safety is never compromised.

They’ll provide a brief overview of the agency’s impact, our ongoing priorities across the defense nuclear complex in New Mexico, and how we collaborate with local, state, and federal partners. There will be time for Q&A, and members of their team will remain afterwards for continued discussion.
